1999 Dodge 2500 Diesel November 13, 2023 Reviewer: Jim Elliott from Houston, TX United States   The alternator has a larger power lug than stock.  I was replacing the alternator to battery lead (4 gauge) anyway, so drill out the stock size connector or buy larger.  The alternator works good, grid heaters used to pull the voltage down to 8 volts, but now only goes down to 12 and then back up to 14.5. 1999 dodge 2500 5.9 Cummins December 26, 2020 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Middelbury, IN United States   Installed this alternator on 12/24/2020 in 15* F and when I started the truck with the grid heater drawing power my voltage didn't even drop below 13.9 with the grid heater cycling and after the engine was warmed up I had 14.7. I would recommend any diesel owners too get this alternator expecially in cold climates. Before it would drop to 11.8 to 12 volts and rest at 13.6 volts Was this review helpful to you?

Alternator November 10, 2019 Reviewer: ASBJORN MOLDVER from Bellingham, WA United States   So far so good.  Came in a super insulated container, easy to install.  Mine was the 180 amp one,  my grand son bought the big one, I think it was the 350 amp one, thats because he has more money than me, his name is Kyle Moldver.  I am now thinking about buying a new starter.
