"My
name is Dave and I live on the north coast of British Columbia,
Canada about 40 miles from the Alaska border. I work for the Canadian
Coast Guard but only have a 4 kilometre drive (about 2.5 miles) from my
home to the base. Unfortunately this is not enough distance for the
"puny" stock 110amp Ford alternator to charge the 2 -
850CCA batteries in my '05 Ford F350 6.0l Diesel. On top of things I've done
quite a bit of work to this truck (bullet-proofing & 650+hp) putting even
more stress on the charging and electrical system. I've
had to charge my batteries once per week during the summer and every 2-3
days in the winter or I may not be able to start my truck when I need to get to
work fast! Getting sick and tired of this scenario and planning on installing a
remote starter soon I checked out the many after market alternators available
and after several weeks of painstaking investigation I settled on the Nation's TAD 190amp high
output alternator. It wasn't the cheapest hi-output
alternator available but it has the best track record and best parts of any on
the market.
It
has been over 2 weeks since I installed it with upgraded cables and a 200amp
fuse and I couldn't
be happier!
Not one dead battery, my lights, defrost (yep, using it
already) and other
electricals are running stronger and it feels like the engine is running
better to boot! Best of all, instead of having to detour to the
highway for 20 minutes after every shift to charge my batteries I can head
straight home with the knowledge that my truck will start again in 12
hours.
I
haven't even mentioned the great customer service. This is one after market
item I would recommend to anyone"
Sincerely,
Dave

the new power draws with out breaking a sweat!! This thing is
AWESOME!!! My voltage runs 14.6 to 14.8 and never drops below

Good Morning Adam, Received the alternator, installed
Saturday. "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT". You nailed the problem and fixed it. Never had this type of output at idle!.
Shazzam, I've got 14.5 volts at idle and still holding 12.8 volts with
everything thing running including the glow plugs cycling and more than
600 watts of lights on (AT 650RPM). "Grinning At Idle, in North Pole, Alaska"
