The AD-244 alternator fits the 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 8.1L V-8 and 6.6L
Duramax Diesel engines for the Tahoe, Avalanche, Escalade, Yukon,
Silverado, Sierra, Denali, and Suburban.
The large frame AD-244 can also retrofit early model Chevy & GMC Truck &
SUV applications for a superior high amp replacement.
The Larger AD-244 High amp alternator will bolt directly in place of your
existing 100-105 amp AD230 alternator without any modifications to the
vehicle. It is recommended that you upgrade the battery wire that
connects to the rear of your alternator. You need a bigger wire to get the
power out of the alternator and into your battery and electrical system.
Our new generation of AD-244 Pro-Series & SP-Series are equipped with
a heavier "copper" heat sink rectifier and heavy duty quality regulators
that just do not go bad! The OEM and Workhorse Series have 75 amp
heavy duty diodes. With perfectly balanced rotor and stator
combinations for the best performance from every Nations High Amp
Alternator.
