The Nations Starter Alternator AD-230 SP
series alternator fits all 2007-2011 Chevy Silverado pickup trucks with
the 4.3L V6, and 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L Vortec V8 engines, as well as the 6.6L
Duramax diesel engine. It is one of the best performing high output
alternator upgrades for the underpowered stock charging system. It has
no trouble handling high current demand accessories such as: extra
lighting, snow plows, winches, high performance car audio systems,
inverters, and televisions etc.
The Problem:
The original alternator that came with the
vehicle was rated at 105 amps. However, this alternator only provides 70
amps at idle which is barely enough for your stock electrical system,
let alone add on accessories.

The Nations Starter Alternator AD-230 amp SP series alternator
allows for the vehicle to have 160 amps at idle versus the stock
output, which will adequately provide your vehicle the power it needs

alternators aren't just over-wound stock alternator casings rebadged as
